Dear parents,
Art Club
Our new art club will start next week on Tuesday 10th.All fifteen spaces have been allocated however if you wish to put your child’s name on the waiting list please see Mrs. Jenny Hanson. We are grateful to the three parents who have offered to run this club, Mrs. Anna Lewington, Mrs. Anna Pietrickwiz and Mrs. Marion Carpenter. Miss Thorne and I will be helping out occasionally. If you are able to help please let one of the three ladies know.

Parent Forum
A good number of parents attended the meeting last week; our next Forum will be on Friday 27th March. One of the things we discussed was the possibility of stamp scheme i.e. children collecting stamps which could then be used to buy books at our annual book fair. We hope this will encourage them to manage their own finances wisely e.g. birthday money or pocket money. Ideally some of our older children would run the scheme and would be available once a week to sell stamps in denominations of 20p, 50p and £1. Children can then buy books at later date.

Feedback
There seemed to be some confusion about the response slip on the last newsletter. (Some parents at the Parent Forum confessed to not reading it carefully!) We would like to know how you feel about the following options - Christmas Pantomime by parents and staff (this seems to be a popular idea), hot meals, newsletters via email and the proposed stamp scheme.

Snow
Finally please listen to 2CR radio for news of school closure in bad weather conditions. Many of our families and staff live a long way from school and I have a duty of care to ensure that they are able to travel safely. We do understand that school closure is inconvenient; hopefully we will be able to stay open. Please send children with appropriate clothing e.g. Wellingtons, gloves, scarves, hats etc. (with names in please)

Yours sincerely,

Susan Marsh (Mrs.)
