Dear parents,

Comic Relief
Thank you so much for your support on Friday. We had a great day, with colourful clothes, unusual hairstyles and most importantly, lots of money donated. The final amount collected on Friday was £238. It’s not too late to add some more!

Parking
Please do not park on the school premises; staff sometimes find that they are unable to park because parents are using the staff parking spaces.. Cars are permitted to drive onto the premises to drop children at the playground gate to ensure the children are delivered safely to the playground. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter

Letters to class teachers
Please will you notify us in writing if your child is going home with someone else. We had a worrying time last week looking for a child who had left with another family because we hadn’t been informed that he was doing so.

Concert
It was wonderful to see our children performing so well on Wednesday and always a pleasure to have the children’s families with us. They have made very good progress and we would like to thank our dedicated peripatetic staff for their enthusiasm and perseverance. The next concert will be on 1st April, do join us at 9.00 a.m if you are free.

Mothering Sunday Service
There is a service at St. Nicholas Church this Sunday. Reverend David Marl has sent a separate letter and is very keen to encourage families to attend this special service.

School Uniform
We would appreciate your support in helping the children to look and think ‘smart’. With the summer term approaching we are introducing a school cardigan for those parents who prefer their children to wear a cardigan with summer dresses. There is a sample cardigan in the office; it will be embroidered with the school logo. Please place your order with Mrs. Hanson if you wish your child to wear a cardigan to school. If you are buying sandals for the summer term please would you bear in mind that we like the children to wear plain shoes and sandals with low heels. Thank you for your support, we know from experience that their appearance impacts on their attitudes.

Waterproof Jackets
A child borrowed one of our sample waterproof jackets but this has not been returned to us. Please would you check if you have it at home. Many children now have these jackets and it is very difficult to identify them without a label. We appreciate how difficult it is to put nametapes in them. However, even their initials on the tag in the pocket can help us to find the owner.

‘Dorset Rocks’
We hope that the children will enjoy this cultural experience on Friday, if you have not yet paid for your child’s ticket please see Mrs. Hanson before Friday. The children will be having lunch later than usual so are asked to bring a suitable snack e.g. a cereal bar. Nothing too sticky please! They will also need a bottle of water, please put both items in a named carrier bag. They will have lunch/milk/fruit when they return to school around 1 o’clock. There will be no Golden Time this week; the children will be taking part in activities in their own classrooms.

Yours sincerely,
