Sports Day – change of date
We arranged sports day to fit in with numerous activities taking place at the end of term. Unfortunately the High School changed the date of their transition day (from 2nd – 6th) but didn’t tell us. Sports day will now take place on Wednesday 8th July with a reserve date of Monday 13th.

Cricket tournament
Well done to our mixed cricket team who won the tournament last week, we hope this will stand them in good stead for this week’s tournament at Bryanston.

Orchestra/Concert
Our orchestra, led by Fiona Riley, is taking part in an orchestral day this Friday. This will take place at Clayesmore School. On Wednesday 10th please join us if you can at 9 a.m. to hear them perform for the school, other musicians are also taking part in this monthly concert.(This was postponed from 3rd as we were having a Church School Inspection last week)

Swimming
We have had a small number of complaints about swimming lessons, please let me know if you have any concerns. There are a small number of children who are attending the orchestral day, which clashes with swimming lessons. We will refund this week’s fees.

No Parking
We have a persistent problem with staff and official visitors being unable to park in the staff car park. Therefore
we are asking all parents to park off site at all times.

We would be grateful for your support and will be asking parents who ignore this request to move their cars immediately. The car park near the recreation ground is available for short term parking or there is plenty of space in the immediate vicinity of the school.

SIAS – Statutory Inspection of Anglican Schools
We are waiting for the report from Mrs. Symonds; copies will be available for parents. Please let us know if you would like a copy.

Dance Club
Louise Ward would like to say a big thank you to all the dancers and their families for the amazing support shown towards the sponsored dance. The event was a huge success, the dancers were wonderful for the whole hour and the support we received made the atmosphere magic. The Sponsored dance alone raised just over £600, special thanks also to Mrs. Roberts and her mum and dad for generously organising and hosting the coffee morning at their home and donating £230 to the Dance Club. I have now managed to order costumes for all the members of the Dance club, the costumes will belong to the school and be available for all fetes/ dance presentations going forward. Thanks once again for all your help.
Yours sincerely,
