Recount of our trip to Lulworth Cove
created: Friday Jul 10, 2009 by Cerys George, Malon Coward, Victoria Denyer-Green,

On Friday 19th June 2009 Wrens class went to Lulworth Cove to learn about the seaside. We met Sarah at the Heritage Centre. She gave us a good talk about the past. I liked it because it was interesting. We played a game before looking for seaside animals. We found crabs and barnacles. We had lunch then we had an ice cream and we had time to play on the beach.

On Friday the 19th June Wrens went to Lulworth Cove because our topic is about the seaside.  First we were introduced to Sarah who gave us an interesting talk about the cove in the past.  After that we played a game.  We played guess the stone.  there were five different types of stone.  After that we went for a walk.  I thought the trip was amazing, fun and exciting because the actvities were fantastic.  When we went Rockpooling I found a snakelock's anemone and a crab.  soon it was time for lunch.  After we had ice-cream and then we had free-time.  I chose to do rockpooling again.

On Friday 19th June 2009 Wrens class travelled to Lulworth Cove.  As soon as we got there we watched the very delicate creatures from the quite small rock pools in between the light grey rocks. Everyone was so amazed because there were some grey shore crabs and some orange. There were tiny little orange crabs. All of the crabs moved amazingly fast and were all very fascinating. Everything was very exciting. We saw some very fascinating things in the rocks like ammonites and shells and even fossils. I thought it was fascinating, exciting and really cool because I have never seen creatures like that up so close.

On Friday 19th June 2009 Wrens went on a school trip to Lulworth Cove.  Everybody was terribly excited.  We went there because the beach is our topic.  First we met Sarah at the Heritage Centre.  In the Heritage Centre Sarah told us about different rocks and what happened to the cliffs over the years.  Then we went outside.  We went to Stair Hole on the way to going rock pooling.  When we got to Stair Hole we saw the Lulworth Crumple and the blow hole.  Then we played a game of pretending to be an animal.  After that we walked loudly down to the rockpools.  We saw lots of crabs and anemones.  they wave their tentacles in order to sting their prey.  I thought it looked amazing.  Then we had lunch.  Mine was very tasty!  After that we had some spare time.  I looked in the rockpools again, then I played with the sand. We then went home on the bus.  Overall I thought it was nine out of ten because I thought it was interesting.
